Anxiety Therapy in Charlotte

Your brain is trying to protect you. It’s just a little overzealous. Anxiety is like a smoke detector that goes off every time you make toast. We help you turn down the sensitivity so it still works when it matters, and stops screaming over breakfast.

Sound familiar?

  • You replay conversations long after they’re over
  • Your mind writes worst-case scenarios faster than you can delete them
  • Your body is tense, tired, or buzzing for no clear reason
  • You avoid things, then feel stuck because you avoided them
  • People call you “so put together” and you think, if only they knew

How we help

Anxiety is one of the most treatable things we see. We use approaches with strong research behind them, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and body-based tools that calm your nervous system in real time. You’ll learn why your brain does what it does, how to catch the spiral earlier, and what to actually do when it hits. Less white-knuckling, more breathing room.

What to expect

In your first session, we get to know you and what anxiety looks like in your life. Then we build a plan together: practical skills, plus the deeper work of understanding where the worry comes from. Expect some homework, some insight, and probably some laughing.

FAQ

Nope. Talking helps, but we focus on skills you can use outside of session, so you’re not relying on us forever.

Yes. We see all ages. Learn more about therapy for teens and play therapy for younger kids.

We’re intentionally out of network with insurance, which keeps your care confidential and in your hands, not an insurance company’s. We can give you a superbill to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. See current rates on our policies page.
