Sheba Surratt, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, DBH, LCMHC

Hi! I am Dr. Sheba Stowe Surratt.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Biology minor from North Carolina Central University, my Master of Arts in Community Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and my Doctor of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University.

I am a National Board Certified Counselor, National Board Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have been rostered as a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, as a Military and Family Life Consultant, and was previously credentialed as a Master Addictions Counselor.

I have 15 years of experience providing counseling, professional development, and consultative services to various government, non-profit, community and healthcare agencies. I work with children, teens and adolescents and adults. I provide services to individuals with emotional, psychological, lifestyle changes and various other problem-situations. I work to reduce behavioral and/or mental health symptoms that impair quality of life in order improve overall self-care management and wellness.

My counseling approach is most aligned with Cognitive-Behavioral therapy. The techniques involve thinking, evaluating, analyzing, questioning, doing, practicing, and re-deciding to promote more effective and healthy behavior.  I also use other skills and techniques to best fit your needs.

I hope to have the opportunity to work with you!
