"Tending the temple of the soul is our life’s work.  Tempio (Italian word for temple) is devoted to nurturing the inner and outer self through Healing Touch, Integrative Health Coaching, Yoga and Spiritual Direction. Combining these four complementary integrative practices is a care approach that provides further potential for transformation and wholeness. Journeying alongside others as they continue to seek further awareness, hope, peace, healing, love, and joy is a sacred undertaking."

My objective is to listen attentively in order to understand and explore your desires or identify specific goals you would like to achieve and accompany you on your journey towards integration. Our work together can also complement the work you are doing with your other treatment providers.

As an Integrative Health Coach, I can help empower you to make long-term sustainable changes so that you may live a full, healthy life. I will support you in your discovery and focus to successfully implement healthy lifestyle behaviors.

As a Healing Touch practitioner, I help activate your natural energy flow to enhance and support physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. It is commonly used for pain relief, relaxation, and reducing anxiety/stress. In addition to working with clients in private practice, I also work with patients at the Levine Cancer Institute in Supportive Integrative Oncology.

As a Spiritual Director, I will create and hold a sacred place for you to name and claim your personal and unique experience of the divine, however you name your higher power. Unpacking challenges of faith, exploring how experiences have impacted your spiritual life, integrating spirit and mind/body, and discerning what your soul longs for are among areas of examination.

As a Yoga Teacher, I can help you learn how to integrate mindful breathing techniques, postures, and meditation in order to promote physical and mental health. I enjoy working with a variety of clients ranging from athletes to those you have never rolled out a yoga mat. It is my goal to make yoga an approachable, safe, and enjoyable practice.

Based on your desires and goals, I can help you reconnect with the inner wisdom that guides your well-being by utilizing any or all of the modalities listed above. It is a privilege to accompany and support individuals on their unique journey.

FAQ

There are so many wonderful choices out there, right?! Please read more about us to make sure it aligns with your presenting concerns. You’ll also want to get a good feel for our personalities and style since a good fit is a must, so contact us and we can chat. Us therapists don’t take it personally if it’s not the right match, so please be honest!

It can definitely feel intimidating to meet with a total stranger and let them in on your life story. It is our job to make you feel as comfortable as possible and keep confidentiality. But, it is not just a job to us. We truly feel honored to walk alongside you in this journey and we wouldn’t do this work if we didn’t care deeply. We just ask that you commit to our work together, remain open and honest, and trust the process. This means that even though every session may not have an Oprah “aha!” moment, this work of processing, learning, and self discovery is all building towards something awesome!

That’s hard to say without knowing your story and meeting with you. We typically say when someone is motivated, let’s jump on that and meet weekly to gain traction. Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job! You will feel equipped to move to less frequently along the way and you and your therapist will continually assess this progress.

We choose to be out of network with insurance companies so as to avoid their “red tape” and involvement in your treatment. This means you self pay upfront at the time of service and then you can submit for reimbursement. Call your insurance company to determine if they have out-of-network benefits. If they do, we can provide a Super Bill (please note that this requires a diagnosis code.)

EMDR is hard to explain and understand, but having done it as a client and now as a clinician for several years, Juliet is a firm believer in its benefits! She likes to say that it’s like a system update for your brain — to send any negative memories/thoughts/sensations that are stuck to where they belong. It doesn’t erase memories or traumas, but it definitely decreases their intensity and resolves negative beliefs by replacing them with more positive and adaptive ones. Clients will feel distress relief, healing, reduced physiological symptoms, and empowerment. EMDR is proven to help with grief & loss, abuse, traumas, phobias, low self-esteem, attachment issues, family disruptions, upsetting memories, PTSD, and food issues. Find more info here.
